http://www.NathanNicholson.com has produced another sale.  I met a friendly couple out of Alabama a few years ago and have been fortunate to sell them 2 houses both of which they have sold for a profit working toward that perfect house to retire to in the mountains.  This is a common trend in the Blue Ridge mountain market.  There are great options starting at just under $100,000.  Cabins typically in this price range are 2 bedroom 1 bath real log cabins with seasonal mountain views and sometimes have a nice stream.  The market supports this price range cabin very well.  This is a great starter cabin or weekender.  Most every family can afford this if they put the cabin in a nightly rental program to supplement the mortgage.  If you can come up with the down payment, this can even provide some nice return on investment and you get to use the cabin when you want it.  Spring is a beautiful time to visit the mountains.  With the spring rains, the streams and waterfalls are running at full speed.  This is the beginning of trout season as well.  The mountains are alive with active hatches and the turkeys gobbling.  Come for a visit and you'll want to stay for a lifetime.
