End of first quarter with a bang Blue Ridge real estate

March 30, 2012

What a week in real estate in the Blue Ridge, Ga mountains.  We started out the week with an offer on a great lot on Fightingtown Creek http://neg.ctimls.com/Report.asp?376NEG7733134  .   We are still working back and forth trying to reach a suitable price for the buyer and seller.  We started a new construction and the grade work began on Monday.  A few disgruntled neighbors have made the task a bit harder than anticipated.  With calls from the health department, land development, and the forest service, the neighbors have finally realized that we know what we are doing.  This is going to be a great cabin overlooking a great trout stream, long range mountain view with the Benton Mackaye Trail at the base of the property.  The cabin will have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with a lot of rustic touches.  Asking price will be in the $150,000 to $160,000 range.  The weekend should be eventful with clients coming in from Atlanta to look at cabins in the $250,000 to $300,000 range on the Toccoa River.  Waterfront properties in the Blue Ridge area have been extremely busy with the anticipation of trout season opening on all streams.  The Toccoa river referred to by many as the best trout stream in the southeast.  http://neg.ctimls.com/Report.asp?354NEG7734140  .  Feel free to search any properties at either of my sites.  Have a great weekend.

New construction cabin in Blue Ridge , Ga

http://www.blueridgewaterfront.com/
This has been an incredible week in Blue Ridge, Ga real estate.  The north Georgia mountain market is doing very well and has stabalized since the downturn.  New cabin construction has been very steady.  We just finished a 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin with a 3 state mountain view and asking price is $189,900.  We began construction on a 2 bedroom 2 bath log cabin today and should have completed by late spring.  Low interest rates and attractive home prices have created what some call the perfect storm for investors.  Waterfront properties are really getting hot with the arrival of trout season.  Blue Ridge, Ga is the trout capital of Georgia. Visit often for up to date trends and properties in the north Georgia mountain market.  We are available anytime to answer questions about land and cabins in the area.
